New HGA Projector! For those of you who were at George Cartter's presentation, you'll remember that the projector
borrowed from the Guide Office decided not to keep its light turned on, which made viewing of the slides rather difficult.
That problem was addressed at the next HGA Board meeting and resolved. The
Board approved the purchase of our own digital projector for use by our presenters at all future presentations. The
results were seen at Marj's presentation and the new projector proved to be a great investment. The photos looked great
and could be seen by all. This projector will be available for all our future HGA presentations. So... it worked!
New on this Website Since our HGA Website has been up for a couple
of years, we've added an archives page to store the complete files of "Where We've Been", so the information of
past programs will still be available, yet not take up current space that may slow your download. Scroll to the bottom
of the "Where We've Been" page to click on those links.
What's Happening in the Library For those of you who don't have VHS players, any
more (remember them?), the Hearst Library has started a project to convert all the VHS videos to the DVD format. The
plan is to have two DVD copies of each video on file for checkout. The project has just started and is being done by
Guide Larry Crawford on an "as time is available" basis, so we ask your patience. About 10 are done so far
with many to go. However, it's a start. For more information, check with Sandy in the library.
